LISA GAYNOR

Lead Teacher

Lisa holds an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Triton College, a Bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and a Master’s degree from Northwestern University. For the past four years, Lisa was an integral part of the teaching team as a lead
teacher and an assistant for the Morton Arboretum’s Little Trees nine-month nature based early learning program. With over ten years of educational experience including Education Program Guide and Summer Camp Instructor at the Morton Arboretum and various leadership roles in parent teacher organizations, Lisa is very passionate about working with and for children. 
Lisa presented at the Rooted In Play Conference in May, 2024.

 

When not playing in nature with children, Lisa can be found baking in her kitchen, outside in her garden creating beautiful combinations of flowers and colors, behind her camera taking nature photographs, searching for a new bird, fishing with her three children or taking a long bike ride or walk.
